Torque motors are rotary motors designed for extremely high torque output. 

Torque motors are used for the first time in the machine series FZ Direct Drive.

The rotary shafts feature impressive speeds: 600 respectively. 900 angular degrees per second is the quick motion speed for both axes. The acceleration is 1800 respectively 360 degrees/sec²!

This opens up a new class of performance in the processing of plastics and aluminium. Now the rotary shafts are no longer the limiting factor for rapid simultaneous motions and for horizontal circumferential milling of radii.
