Since summer 2002, GEISS is also represented on the US market. Our long standing partner, Rolf Obermann, along with other trustworthy sub-agents, provide you with comprehensive and competent advise.
Assisted by company Siemens, we succeeded in securing delivery of spare parts and provision of service for our prospective customers.
A showroom in Chicago complements the work of the team. Since late December, a CNC trimming machine and a Vacuum forming machine by GEISS can be seen in the new showroom. The facility gives potential customers the opportunity to get detailed information on our various machines and options on the spot. By now our so-called US sample quotations with flexible adaptation of the rate of exchange turned out to be very useful as it allows us to submit quotations immediately.
The trip to the USA by Manfred Geiss revealed the demand for state-of-the-art Vacuum forming machines. In reality, the American technology in this field lags far behind European technology. The machine manufacturers there so far use the so-called principle of the "rotaries" or "open chamber" machines. At first sight, these machines seem to speak for themselves due to their enormous productivity. In fact, however, our "Flash" machines can perfectly compete with them. Besides, the American models have serious shortcomings. In standard machines, for example, there is no support during the heating time and there is no pre-stretching before the mould is run in. These operations can be realised only with higher expenditure.
The conversations with interested parties and potential customers were found to be extremely beneficial for everyone concerned.
