37.1) Motorised table lift

The drive of the machine table of a vacuum forming machine can affect the quality of the parts and the cycle time. For this purpose, a table drive with 4 servo motors has been developed. Where table lift cylinders are accommodated on the standard machine, servo motors are situated which operate one leadscrew each.

The table is positioned by 4 Siemens synchronous motors 1FK6. These are positioned with a precision of 1/10   mm by the AC frequency converter Simovert Masterdrives. Coupling between the Simatic-CPU of the machine control and the drive is via PROFIBUS. If you want to know more about this drive please visit Siemens Web page.

When this option is selected the velocity and stop points are then programmable. The absolute path measuring systems do not require reference point travels when starting the machine.
