4.2) Pyrometer for bottom heater

The function of this unit is similar to that installed in the top heater.

First, it provides a continuous display of the temperature at the bottom side of the material. It is thus possible to check whether the settings of the total intensities of both heaters are compatible.

On reaching the programmed switching temperature the heating intensity of the bottom heater is switched over. The unit has no further functions if it is used in addition to the unit in the top heater.

It is recommended to choose this option if the temperature of the bottom side of the material is critical. This may be necessary for example for coextruded sheets or foamed foils which must activate glue with their specific heat.

This unit is water cooled and needs fresh water.
