4.3) Pyrometer for cooling time

This unit is not installed in one of the heaters, it is fitted on the machine box. It measures the material temperature during the cooling time.

This provides an equipment which controls the cooling time dependent on the material temperature in the same way as the other pyrometer control the heating time.

This contributes towards higher accuracy of the formed parts as the demoulding temperature influences the shrinkage of the parts. Removing the parts after a longer cooling period results in bigger parts!

This option is also very useful in automatic machines. In the morning the cooling time required is considerably shorter, but in most cases this benefit is not made use of by the machine drivers. If it is used they easily forget to prolong the cooling time at a later time which then results in rejects.

Yet another application proved to be useful. When using not tempered tools it automatically controls the optimal unloading temperature, though with a much longer cooling time.
