5.4) Trimming spindle CLASSIC 100 for the use with trimming head as per option 6.4) and 3 axis machines.

The maximum performance of the spindle is 9 KW and programmable from 3.000 rpm up to 32.000 rpm. The tool holder is HSK-E40. This spindle with set back spindle nose to limit interfering contours was designed exclusively for GEISS.

The spindle is liquid cooled and equipped with ceramic ball bearings.

The spindle features a tool clamping monitoring device for the control to recognise "clamped" or "released".

The use of this spindle requires a reinforced Z axis which is included in the price.

Due to the heavier design, the speeds of the B and C axes are reduced to 7.500 rpm for the B axis and 9.000 rpm for the C axis.  Retrofitting is not possible.

The travel of the B axis is set to  200 °.

The particular feature of the CLASSIC trimming spindles is the interchangeable shaft unit. In the event of a damage to the bearing, it is not necessary to remove and repair the complete spindle, but only the shaft unit. This saves cost and prevents machine downtime.
