25. Shuttle table
The shuttle table is recommended for the loading and unloading of big parts. It is designed as an additional CNC axis. Protection is provided by light barriers or a safety laser scanner. It is available from a machine width of 800mm in Y direction.
The table moves alternately out of the machine at the left-hand and the right-hand side. When the shuttle table is positioned it shuts the machine case like a drawer or the machine case is shut by vertically running roller blinds.
The shuttle table permits large workpieces to be loaded simply and easily. Machines with shuttle tables moving alternately out of the machine at the left-hand and right-hand side, unlike machines with sliding tables moving to the front, are distinguished by compact design and require little space. Due to their compact design they can be encased completely to protect them from dust and noise without any problem.
