29.4) Camera System

The system recognizes blade geometry, wear and chippings.

With a pixel resolution of 8.3 µm and a measuring tolerance of +/- 1.6 µm the following parameters are measured and recorded:

• Back-rake angle
• direction angle (when a blade is clamped at an angle)
• tip point
• tip distance d
• shape and chippings of cutting edge symmetry.
