Clamping frame

The clamping frame is a central component within the thermoforming machine. It is used to securely hold the plastic sheet in place after loading, during both the heating phase and the forming process. This also ensures the necessary sealing required to carry out the vacuum forming operation.

Function and significance in the thermoforming process

In addition to fixing the sheet, the clamping frame ensures that the plastic sheet remains stable and does not slip during forming. After the forming process, it lifts the finished part and transfers it to the loading or unloading trolley, enabling automated and safe removal. Clamping frames are therefore crucial for process reliability, dimensional accuracy and reliable further processing in the thermoforming procedure.
