Pressureforming

Pressure forming is a specialized thermo­form­ing process in which a heated plastic sheet is pressed into a mold using both compressed air and vacuum. A defined positive pressure, often as low as 1 to 2 bar, is applied evenly across the sheet surface, resulting in particularly fine structures and a high level of detail.

Advantages and applications of pressure forming

Compared to vacuum forming, pressure forming enables improved reproduction of fine mould details and greater process stability, especially with complex geometries or demanding surface requirements.
