CNC – Computerized Numerical Control

CNC stands for “Computerized Numerical Control” and refers to the computer-based control of machine tools. Machining operations such as milling, turning, drilling or cutting are automated through programmed commands (usually G-code). This enables highly precise and repeatable processes, even with complex geometries.

Importance of CNC in industrial manufacturing

CNC technology makes it possible to manufacture workpieces efficiently and with consistently high quality, regardless of batch size or complexity. In plastics processing, CNC-controlled machining centres are used, among other things, for the post-processing of thermoformed parts, ensuring precise contours, drillings and millings.
