deionize
During deionization, positive and negative ions are deliberately directed onto the surface of the raw part to eliminate static charges, thereby preventing issues such as dust adhesion, warping, or uneven processing.
Typical Applications of Deionization at Geiss
Deionization units installed in the sheet loader discharge the sheets directly within the machine. This prevents the sheets from sticking together and significantly reduces the adhesion of dust and other contaminants on their surfaces.
Our Air Knives are also available in an optional deionizing version. This neutralizes static surface charges on the plastic sheets, allowing dust particles to be removed more effectively and significantly improving the cleaning performance of the air knives.
