Window plate
Window plates in a thermoforming machine are support plates on which the plastic sheet to be formed is placed. Together with the sealing system, they form a closed unit above the mold and seal the forming area, allowing a vacuum to be generated during the thermoforming process.
Function and advantages of a window plate
Window plates are a key component for ensuring quality and efficiency in the thermoforming process. They reliably secure the plastic sheet, provide precise sealing, and thus enable a clean vacuum. The result is parts with the highest dimensional accuracy and uniform surface quality. At the same time, window plates reduce material waste and energy consumption, making the entire process more economical.
